College Ambassadors

Started in 2013, The College Ambassadors program brings together undergraduate students pursuing a major within the College of Arts and Sciences who have excelled academically and are involved in campus and community activities. The students are nominated by faculty and staff to represent the College at a variety of university-sponsored events. Ambassadors serve as liaisons between the Dean’s Office and the student body, assist their home departments with alumni and service events, and provide insights and information to prospective students and their parents. Throughout the year, Ambassadors have unique professional development opportunities, including leadership training, access to community engagement activities, and networking events with faculty and alumni. According to Dean Pitman, “These students are truly exemplary. They have made a positive impact in their respective departments and have impressed many with their leadership skills.” During the year, our Ambassadors helped celebrate our centennial, spoke at Open House, assisted with CAS 101 classroom presentations, interacted with alumni, and thanked donors for their contributions to the College. Special recognition goes to Sean Bearden, Goldwater Scholarship winner, Elise Roberts, SUNY Chancellor’s Award winner, and David Harary, J. Scott Fleming Scholarship winner. We are truly lucky to have such a talented group of students. Short biographies and photographs of the 2015- 2016 Ambassadors are available on the College website. Meet the Ambassadors >>
