Shape Our Future
Philanthropy plays a key role to the success of our students and faculty. Without scholarships many great students accepted to the university would not be able to attend, or they would need to sacrifice valuable study time to work enough part-time hours to make ends meet. By giving to UB, our donors ensure that our students will help solve the most pressing problems of the 21st century.
$25,000 gift to the Department of English to support Creeley Lecture and Celebration of Poetry
An anonymous donor has given $25,000 to the Department of English to create an endowment supporting the annual Robert Creeley Lecture and Celebration of Poetry. The lecture series honors legendary poet and UB professor Robert Creeley, to promote interest in the history and future of poetry and poetics, and to celebrate poetry as it is lived and studied in Buffalo and in the world. By establishing an endowment, this gift helps to ensure that the lecture series will continue into the future. The Creeley Lecture and Celebration series was established by the UB Department of English Poetics Program.
If you would like to contribute to the Creeley Lecture and Celebration of Poetry Endowment, please contact Cristanne Miller or firstname.lastname@example.org, or you may give online at www.giving.buffalo.edu/creeley
