Leah Rico's work explores how structures in societies inform or are at odds with the individual. She has shown locally at Big Orbit Gallery, Hallwalls, the Carnegie Arts Center, El Museo and the Adams Art Gallery, but prefers situations that blur the position of the viewer and the viewed, such as her participation with the arty fashion event No Frills, the happening Murder the Word, and the disbanded publication Basta!(or too much!). Leah is currently pursuing an MAH in Visual Studies at the University at Buffalo.
