Protesting the Vietnam War, Buffalo, 1970
For an account of antiwar protests at SUNY Buffalo in the '60s and '70s, see Richard Siggelkow, Dissent and Disruption: A University Under Siege (Prometheus Books: Buffalo, 1991).
Siggelkow was a Dean at UB when in 1970 students and faculty occupied an administration building on the Main Street Campus (then the only campus). Forty-five faculty were arrested and jailed. Months later, charges were eventually dropped.
