Fellowships & Awards

Listed below are fellowships made available to graduate students within the College. Fellowships may be available to award to students who apply for and receive an assistantship. Research funds are intended to support the research accomplishments of graduate students.

Arthur A. Schomburg Fellowship Program is sponsored by New York State and offers support for historically underrepresented students in graduate programs across the university.

Dissertation Fellowships in the amount of $6,000 are available to assist advanced doctoral students in completing their dissertations.

Graduate Opportunity Program offers support to New York State residents who participated as undergraduates in certified EOP, HEOP or SEEK programs.

Mark Diamond Research Fund provides grants to graduate students for research expenses related to their thesis or dissertation.

Presidential Fellowship / Dean’s Scholar Program are awarded to recruit outstanding PhD and MFA students in the College of Arts and Sciences.
