Attention Physicians, Psychiatrists, Physical Therapists, Chiropractors, Massage Therapists, Social Workers, and other Professionals!

Are you currently treating individuals who have been involved in a motor vehicle accident (MVA)? These clients often fail to respond to traditional physical therapy, massage, or chiropractic regimes, or they may report lifestyle impairment and a diminished quality of life.  These clients may need considerable mental health and medical attention. Where do you refer these clients?

The Center for Anxiety Research offers a free Motor Vehicle Accident Clinic for clients who have been in a car accident and are experiencing both physical and psychological effects of this event.  Our free services include a comprehensive evaluation and treatment for post-trauma reactions for individuals who qualify. This project has been shown to be helpful for individuals who have been involved in car accidents. If you do refer a client to the MVA clinic, you are encouraged to continue to treat the client in your usual manner.  Our research should not interfere with any physical treatments.  Psychiatrists prescribing psychotropic medications are asked to stabilize dosage if the client chooses to volunteer for the free treatment.

Additionally, the MVA Clinic will provide a detailed report of the psychological evaluation to professionals to which the client releases information.  Our reports are comprehensive and may aid in your continuing work with the individual.

* If you would like to refer a client to the MVA Clinic, please have them contact Dr. Gayle Beck at (716) 645-3650 ext. 230.
