Applicants to UB and First Year Students

Beulah Alexander Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship serves students from the Western New York region that have been historically underrepresented in higher education. It is meant for students driven to succeed academically, as well as driven to help others.

Buffalo Public High School Aspire Scholarship
This scholarship is aimed at enhancing educational opportunities at UB for graduates from City of Buffalo public high schools.  Preference will be given to students who are graduates of Bennett High School.

Greater Washington DC Area Alumni Scholarship
This scholarship hopes to raise awareness about the University at Buffalo’s top-quality yet affordable education among high schools and individuals from the Greater Washington DC area.

Hutchinson Central Technical High School Access Scholarship Program
This scholarship is aimed at enhancing educational opportunities for graduates from Hutch Tech to attend UB.


Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors

ENPOL Scholarship
This scholarship will provide in-state tuition and fees to aid students with financial hardship who are from the Buffalo/Western New York region.

Experiential Learning Award for Summer 2017
Three awards of up to $3,000 will be given to students pursuing a major in the College of Arts and Sciences with plans to participate in a summer experiential learning opportunity in the United States.

Lester W. Milbrath Award Fund
This award was created to reward a hard-working student who has demonstrated a commitment to our environment. The student will be of at least sophomore standing, and will study in one of the disciplines taught by Dr. Milbrath:  Political Science, Sociology, or Environmental Studies.

Reichbach Memorial Fund
Provides critical financial assistance for students who are near graduation but due to an unexpected financial crisis may be unable to graduate.

Roger Roll Award
This award is intended for students who are enrolled in CAS and are athletes in track and field at UB.

Saul and Teresa Lerner Award
Provides financial assistance for students who are in their senior year, in a course of study within the College of Arts and Sciences.

Western New York Prosperity Scholarship / Application Deadline Friday, February 5, 2017
Seeking entrepreneurial students interested in improving the Western New York Region.

This scholarship program will assist undergraduate and graduate students who are actively preparing for careers that further economic development and growth, especially in the Western New York region.  Open to all undergraduates and select graduate programs including students in the School of Management and School of Engineering and Applied Sciences.  Scholarship and summer internship support up to $25K based on financial need.

Candidates must have a least a junior-level standing during the award period; be in good academic standing; have an interest in bolstering the Western New York economy; and have financial need.  For full details, visit the scholarship website at

Study Abroad and International Experience

William C. & Annette L. Rock Fund for CAS Study Abroad
These scholarship funds are intended to encourage undergraduate students, who are majors in the College, to pursue an opportunity to study abroad. The scholarship is in the amount of $500 for one semester and is awarded twice a year.

Roberta A. and George E. Stevens Fund for International Experience
Roberta and George Stevens and the Office of the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences have established this scholarship fund to encourage undergraduate students to pursue international experiential learning opportunities, especially related to study abroad.



General Albert James Myer and Private Harrison Baird Veterans Scholarship
This award provides financial support to students who have served or are serving in the U.S. Military.


Foster Care

Emancipated Foster Student Program Fund
This award provides financial support and assistance to support the academic goals of eligible full and part-time students who are currently or were previously in foster care.
