Emancipated Foster Student Program Fund
The College of Arts and Sciences and Cora P. Maloney College through the generosity of donors, has established a program to provide financial support and assistance to support the academic goals of eligible full and part-time students who are currently or were previously in foster care.
Applicants must have been a ward/dependent of the court/foster care anytime on or after their 13th birthday.
Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or qualified non-citizen.
Applicants must be considered “independent” under federal financial aid guidelines.
Applicants must have been in foster care or orphaned while living in the United States.
The application must include all of the following:
A short narrative about the applicant’s background and time at UB.
A short narrative about the applicant’s current financial situation.
A short narrative about the applicant’s future plans.
Recipients will be required to write a thank you letter to the donor.
Please submit the completed application in hard copy to:
